The mansion of deceased founder and famed design of fashion house Versace, Gianni Versace is currently up for sell. The lavish home was purchased in 1992 for $2.9M which at that moment in time was a steal compared to $125M the mansion is selling for now. The late designer called the mansion located in the South Beach home up until his tragic death in 1997 when he was gunned down on the steps of the estate. In 2000 the mansion was purchased by billionaire Peter Loftin and in 2009 recieved a facelift and name change both courtesy of Barton G. Weiss. It’s new name is “The Villa by Barton G.” It is a little flashy for my taste but if you happen to have $125 million to play with, have a love of shiny thing and enjoy Rococo style wall art, this maybe your dream house.
